Self-isolation – Big change in our life!

Life is full of lessons. When things that seem like normal to us, where we can go out anywhere we want and we feel the freedom to live and do things that we like without being scared about getting attacked by something or someone outside. These days, for entire world it’s time to stay home, to self isolate ourselves to protect ourselves and others from the spread of Covid-19. This is a new virus which is recently discovered by human beings.

Covid-19 is one of the viruses which already existed in some animals but was never found in humans. Now that it’s among so many of us throughout the world, many died due to this new microorganism for which no vaccination is yet discovered.

It’s a different feeling for all of us in this kind of difficult time when people of so many nations are asked by government to stay home isolated, to maintain social distancing of 2 meters from elderly people, people with health condition and when we are outside home. It’s also extremely important to wash hands or sanitize before touching face, before eating, after touching anything and washing them often. Now there have been some people assuming that nothing will happen to them so they go out in groups or don’t follow government advise, which results in lockdown throughout the province or country. Lockdown is extremely important and severe action taken by government to save lives of people.

      Lot of people are going through different emotions right now including anxiousness, fear, anger, loneliness, confusion, sadness, curiosity etc. We can choose to feel the way we want and take precautionary measures as advised by health professionals and the government. Now question is, how do we accept one of the biggest change of our life?  We have to self isolate and work from home, many have lost jobs temporarily as they have been laid off and many are unemployed. I am a spiritual soul and I believe that we can create the life we want by changing our emotions, thoughts, mindset. This is an important lesson for all us that we need to take care of our body by eating healthy, practicing exercises like yoga, cardio, abs, weights, dancing, and anything that will help our body and mind stay healthy and fit. It’s time to understand what we really desire and what we love doing. Starting our day with meditation helps us calm our mind which will help us all manifest what we desire and stop negative thoughts from coming in. Spending rest of our day eating healthy and home cooked food, trying new recipes, reading books, singing, playing board games with our family if they are with you or online, chatting on video calls with our loved ones, asking them how they’re doing and feeling, work out at home, step outside in balcony to breath is fresh air and appreciate our beautiful nature, learning new things by taking online courses, writing journal everyday and doing things that you love the most.

Let all of us stay home, quarantine and chill at home alone or with our loved ones, wash hands, maintain social distancing, pray for betterment of everyone, increase our vibration by staying positive and hopeful during this difficult time. Universe always reflects back the kind of energy we give. Let’s appreciate and be grateful for how beautiful this world is. Let’s save each other and pray for each other’s well being! Good times will come one day. We have to be patient and have faith no matter what. 🙏🏻😇

 

Dear Future Husband! <3

My Dear Future Husband,

I want to tell you something today. I wanted to tell you in person but since you did not meet me yet, I am writing it down for you. I don’t know when and where I will see you and when I will be able to be with you forever.

As a teenager, I use to dream about you. I did not know your name so I use to call you my Prince Charming. I use to dream you loving me, travelling with me and being a good son to my parents. I imagined being with you in a happy, loving and caring relationship. Life seemed so easy finding you and being with you. 🙂

Dreaming about things makes us feel so good. I use to day dream and even imagine a lot. I use to dream about everything that I wanted. I use to dream about my dream job, my loving family, my loving hubby, me getting married and me becoming a beautiful soul who cares about others and helps them.

Since the time I became independent, I got excellent opportunity to explore the world. I have now become a spiritual person, living by myself far away from my family and comfort zone helped me learn a lot about myself and my purpose in life. With time, I noticed lot of things changed, people’s approach towards relationship and commitment has changed. I want to tell you that it’s not been easy journey for me to find you.

I have been waiting for you and I really love you to the core. All I want is to be your best friend who understands you very well. I am going to help you grow and will always support you to reach your goals. Together, we will help each other bring out best in each other. We will be the best team and will help each other fulfill all the goals that we have set for ourselves. We will travel, try new things, laugh, fight, tease each other, care and give all our love to each other. We will take care of our family and will give back to people in need. I will cook your favorite food and will make every night a romantic dinner date. I will do anything and everything that will make you happy. I will let you go out with your friends and give you space when you need it as I know too much of me can get boring lol… We will communicate about everything that’s in our mind so we understand each other completely without assumptions and misunderstanding. There will be strong level of trust between us.

Together we can achieve a lot. Life can be much easier and less stressful when we have someone we love the most by our side. I am very ambitious and I know you’re too. You want to achieve your goals, become financially stable, feel like you’re ready to take care of your partner. But trust me, together we can do it faster. 2 people can achieve more when they work together as a good team than working on it alone.

Meaning of Life!!

Life in itself is such a beautiful gift that we have received from God/Universe. As a kid, I enjoyed growing up in different places. I always had and still have got wonderful family by my side who are there to support me, teach me lessons and guide me when I make mistakes. We all miss our childhood when we start getting older as those days are one of the best days of our life. When we are kids, we do things that we love the most in our free time, play with friends, take no stress, always happy.  I enjoyed my childhood a lot as I got to travel in so many different places which helped me learn about different culture and also made me understand how important travelling is.

As I grew older, went to college, university and later started working. Life seemed so much different now that I am mature and independent individual. I use to wonder why is it more complicated after we are grown up as an adult? I use to take stress if I failed meeting expectations that I had from myself. I use to get stressed if things didn’t go as I planned for myself. Life as a child is so much easier than as a adult. Don’t most of us think this way at some point in our life?

I have faced Anxiety couple years ago. I use to take lot of stress which affected my health. I use to feel low, wasn’t very happy, use to feel pain in different parts of my body. Many of us these days have gone through Anxiety, Depression and other mental as well as health issues. I see so many people these days going after drugs, alcohol just to feel good and have no thoughts in their mind. Just so that they can forget their problems and have fun as they feel only alcohol or drugs have got this super power to make them feel so relaxed and happy . It’s actually affecting our body organs from inside. Why do we even want to risk taking something that is reducing our life span? Do you really want to make your life shorter? If we feel happy within ourselves, we dont need anything to make us feel certain way. We can have fun anyways.

I started following some motivational speakers, tried to focus more on self growth, invest time in things that I really enjoy the most and the most important thing is to love myself. Thanks to internet. There is a lot of stuff available online. It’s all upto us how we want to make use of such an amazing resource.

I like learning from others. When I observe and have conversations with old people, I notice that there are many of them who live on their own, all alone. Fortunately, some do have loving kids taking care of them. I always felt that our grandparents are so much like kids. All they need is our quality time, attention, love and affection, living together happily. And throughout our life these are the things that matters the most to all of us.

  • Love & Affection;
  • Quality Time with our loved Ones
  • Happiness

When we are young we want to build a career, do our masters, travel around the world, get a car, invest in property, have some savings for future and what not…….. List goes on and on…  It’s very important to spend some alone time with yourself. Ask yourself what are the things that really matters to you? What are your priorities in life? What is the purpose of your existence?

Everyday I wake up, I thank god for blessing me with life. I just love the fact that I am alive and living a healthy life. I don’t know about future but all I know is I want to live my present day with happiness, do things that I love, spend time with my loved ones, find my soulmate and be with him today, work on my passion and pursue my dreams. Life is unpredictable. It’s better if we truely value and love something, grab it, work on it  and keep it today. Don’t wait too long for future. Whatever you want in life, if you can get it now, don’t wait for it. Go, get it!! If you don’t have it now, work hard and get it soon.

Everything else in life falls in place. Your career, financial stabilty, studying, responsibilities etc. Never take the most important things and people in life for granted as at the end all you need is to love and be loved. 🙂

 

My Mind : Best Friend or Enemy?

I have been thinking about how our mind can impact our life. It affects the way we behave, think, act, and talk. Do we want to make our mind our best friend or do we want to make it our enemy?

Let me elaborate this more in depth. When I was a kid, I use to be very sensitive. If someone made a comment about me which was not very positive, I would get upset and start crying. Why? Because my mind made me take it in a negative way as my mind was making me feel worse about the situation, even if it wasn’t that bad. On the other side, when I was getting good marks in school or stand out in extra curricular activities, I would feel so good about it and everyone around me complimented me. In those situations, my mind also made me feel good.

As I grew older, I gained lots of experiences. I learned that living independently away from your loved ones, can bring you lot of challenges. Now, I definitely had to take care of my mind. As it will either make me think in a very strong and positive manner or negative and insecure. There are times when everything around you is so happy and exciting and there are times when things fall apart or don’t go according to your plan. The biggest skill is to train our mind stay calm and in peace always no matter what. If we can do that, our mind will be our best friend always. It will make us feel confident in what we do and always stay positive in every situation.

We all take stress in some parts of our life. It is our mind that controls our thoughts which leads to how we feel and act. Now that can be scary for your health. It’s our mind that processes millions of thoughts and if we feed our mind with doubts, negative and scary thoughts than it will lead to stress/frustration/anger. Do we really want or like our mind to make us feel sad/upset/negative? No, we don’t. We all want to be happy.

Recently, I started practicing breathing regularly followed by meditation. Breathing helps to calm our mind which will improve our mood. To begin, sit still and tall somewhere comfortable. Close your eyes and being breathing through your nose.                                                      Then, inhale for a count of two.. hold the breath in for a count of one… exhale gently, counting out for four… and finish by holding the breath out for a count of one. Keep your breathing even and smooth.

I learned that it’s very important to take care of our mind. Many times even if we get an intuition or if our heart tells us one thing, our mind might be thinking something else and there can be a conflict between both. But our intuition or our gut feeling tells us exactly what’s best for us. If we ignore that feeling and let our mind take charge, confusion might arise. Never let your mind make you feel so miserable. Calm mind by breathing and meditating whenever such negativity or confusion arise.

Your mind…. can be your best friend or your worst enemy, but it’s your choice to make.

With time, I am becoming more mature and also learning to stay positive, spread love and happiness around me by first having a healthy and positive mind. 🙂 I hope you liked my post. Your comments and feedback will be appreciated.

My journey of finding true love!

Born in the country where most of the movies are based on love and romance, Idea of finding my true love seemed very exciting. I was raised by my lovely parents whom I saw as this amazing couple who always support each other, can never stay far away from each other for long, would hardly argue with each other, even small disagreements get resolved between them as they always believed in communicating with each other with respect and honesty. Idea of  getting married in my country is just as important for everyone as being highly educated.

I was a good daughter, little mischeveous but most of the times I would listen to my elders teachings and lessons. As a kid, I learned from my mom-dad that communicating with respect and using kind words always is important as we don’t want to hurt anyone. Practicing empathy is something my mom always taught me. Standing for myself and following my dreams is something my dad always motivated me for.

Yes, I use to get attracted to some guys but as a teenager, I was not sure how it feels to be in love with someone and be in a relationship and if I was ready to experience that. I followed my families teachings – Focus on your career now and once you become independent and sense clarity in your life, you will have a deep, meaningful and loving relationship with a man of your dreams. One day I decided to move abroad after completing my undergrad. I was the only child to my parents and I was always protected by my family. In 2012, I finally took a big step and moved to Canada with a goal of becoming independent, strong, explore new place and culture and to discover my true self. I was never so proud of myself as I am today. I have experienced many things in my life journey and most of my experiences are from the time I started living on my own.

I was 23 when I got into a relationship which was kind of casual. It wasn’t something where I would say that I love this person and I want to be with this person forever. It was my first experience in dating. I felt good as the person I was dating was more like a best friend to me. Since it was something new to me I was trying to learn more about myself, what kind of person I really want to be with. I was discovering myself in my life journey. I graduated after 2 years, found a decent job, and was also looking for this person whom I can call my Soulmate. It’s been few years where I came across so many guys who would communicate something else and their actions didn’t match their words. Along with learning more about others, I was also learning more about myself. I went through stress, I use to cry as it was painful to be kind and loving to others and not get treated or valued the same way  in return. With time, I learned something about myself. I asked myself, what do I really want? The answer I got was happiness. Than I asked myself, will my soulmate give me all that happiness? The answer was No, not really. Maybe he will make me happy but do I really need someone to seek happiness in my life? The answer is No.

Nowadays, there is lot of meaningful content available online which can give you insight on all kinds of topics and concerns that you have in your life. It’s always good to have a mentor. I have found mine and I feel blessed. I am learning so much from my mentor. Lately I have been working on changing my perspective in life. I have stopped playing the complaining, comparing and criticizing game. Practicing Gratitude can completely change your life. I always knew my passions and I asked myself, what was stopping me from pursuing my passions? It was me who was stopping myself. We all are talented and I believe that by choosing to be our most authentic and loving self, we leave a trail of magic, everywhere we go! Never forget this –

You are loved &

You are magical!

Not only I love myself more now but I am also learning to spread my love around me. I am doing things that makes me happy like going on a vacation. 🙂 I will be going on long vacation, spend time with my family and friends and explore new places. I have got plans on pursuing my passions and how I can turn them into my career. There are so many things to do and learn and the most exciting thing is these are the things that makes me happy as they define me. I am doing what I love and loving what I do. Do I really need to rush into finding my true love? No. I will continue meeting people and socializing and also keep my focus on my growth. Investing in yourself is the best investment one can make. When you love yourself just the way you are and are focused on your growth, no one can stop you.

We all need to understand that Life is not a race. It’s a lovely unique journey filled with experiences and it’s different for everyone of us. So, take your own time and follow this journey at your own pace. When we start focussing more on our growth and do things that really matter to us, we always have that sense of urgency to pursue those things as we really want to do something that matters to us and is Important. Don’t let noice of your friends or even family distract you or confuse you. When you know what you are doing is the right thing to do and it is the priority, eventually people around you will understand and be supportive.

Self-love is the best way to find true love!

I find the following quote by Romeo B Cameron very meaningful :-

If you find it hard for yourself to love someone,

it maybe because you haven’t quite yet started loving yourself.

You need to find true love for yourself,

before you find true love with someone else.

People usually rush into making money, getting into relationship, getting married, choosing career. Rushing can’t always be wrong as if you know what you are doing is right for you, you must go for it. But the first step towards finding true love is to learn about yourself and love yourself first. My First Blog! :)

It’s my first blog ever. I always have so much going on in my mind that I share with my closed ones. Today I felt like writing it down. It was August 2012 when I moved to Canada as a Student from India. I knew nobody in Canada when I moved here. 22 year old wanted to be  independent and strong, who wanted to see and explore other part of the world.  It’s been over 5 years today and now I am Permanent Resident Of Canada.

Single Independent  Girl, who has got no one in Canada so supportive and caring like her family or loved ones are all in India. I did meet and made really good friends in Canada. I also dated guys but didn’t meet my true love yet. I realized how little things like going for shopping with my family, having dinner together with my parents, planning weekends and celebrating festivals and special occasions with family is something I miss here. Going through stress by myself, looking for job that I was interested in, moving from one place to other, going to clinic, dealing with anxiety pain, wasn’t easy at all as I didn’t have supportive boyfriend or someone who would love and care for me unconditionally. My mom use to get worried when she felt my struggle and stress. She tried to convince me to leave everything and to come back home in India. I didn’t listen to her and kept pushing myself to stay strong and positive. My Dad encouraged me always and slowly with time, my Mom realized that her daughter is not afraid of struggle or failure. Now she always encourages me to follow my dreams and never give up. Some of my friends here have been really helpful. I am grateful for all those different kind of people who came in my life. They taught me lot of things and blessed me with different experiences. 🙂

When I look back 5 years ago or even 1 year ago, I feel proud to see myself. I am proud and happy to see the change in my personality, how happy I am, how strong I have become mentally, how independent I am that I can easily take important decisions in my life, how I believe in myself and willing to take risks and follow my dreams. 🙂

We all are capable of pushing ourselves when things fall apart or get difficult. With Patience, Hard Work, Dedication and Positive Mindset one can achieve anything in their life. Nothing is Impossible! We all have got some passion. We just need to identify it and make it our career. As they say- “Do what you love and love what you do.” It’s easier said than done but if we work hard and follow our passions, together we can be so much innovative, creative and also stay extremely happy in our life.
